THE GUIDING PROMISE
Core philosophy of Bastion IT

You should not have to guess whether your business is protected.

Most owners we meet carry the same quiet worries. The backups have never been tested. Someone who left might still have access. The IT provider only turns up when something breaks or an invoice is due. Nobody can say what would actually happen after a ransomware email. The Blueprint Session replaces the guessing with a written answer.

Why businesses book one

"This is the part most providers get wrong. They lead with a quote. We lead with a plan the business gets to keep regardless of what they decide."

What you walk away with

A written IT Blueprint report, built in the session from your answers and our public-record checks. Not a brochure, not a quote:

Your IT at a glance

Headline numbers, a rating for every area, and the three things to do first.

A prioritised plan

What to fix now, in the next 30 to 90 days, and over the next 3 to 12 months, ranked by risk.

Findings you can act on

Each one with why it matters and steps that work whoever does them: you, your current provider, or us.

An Essential Eight snapshot

An indicative view of where you sit against the ACSC Essential Eight, from what you tell us.

Your IT estate and lifecycle forecast

Every device, licence, domain and phone line we found, and what is due to expire or be replaced.

What is already working

If something is set up well, we say so and leave it alone.

Twelve areas. One hour. Nothing skipped.

The session follows a fixed structure so nothing gets missed. We work through each area with you, record what is confirmed, and list what nobody is sure about instead of guessing:

WHAT WE COVER

  • Business and people

How many staff, where they work from, who makes IT decisions and what the business is planning next.
  • Current IT support

Who looks after IT today, what the agreement covers, response times and what is falling through the gaps.
  • Email and identity

Microsoft 365 or Google, MFA coverage, admin accounts, leavers, and whether your domain can be spoofed.
  • Licensing and software

What you pay for, what you actually use, and the line-of-business apps the business cannot run without.
  • Computers and devices

Every laptop, desktop and mobile: age, Windows version, encryption, and what is already out of support.
  • Servers and file storage

On-premises servers, NAS boxes, SharePoint and the cloud, and who can reach what.
  • Network and internet

Firewall, switches, wi-fi, the internet connection and what is exposed from the outside.
  • Backup and recovery

What is backed up, where it goes, how far back it reaches, and whether a restore has ever been tested.
  • Website, domains and hosting

Domain names, DNS, hosting, SSL certificates, renewal dates, and who holds the logins.
  • Phones and communications

Phone system, numbers, call flows and contracts, and how after-hours calls are handled.
  • Security and people

Endpoint protection, patching, awareness training, password habits and how incidents get reported.
  • Anything on your mind

The thing that has bugged you for months, the quote you were not sure about, the question you never got a straight answer to. It is your hour.

A simple process, no runaround.

How it works

  1. Pick a time.

Choose a slot from the calendar at the top of this page. The invite lands in your inbox straight away, Teams link included.

  2. We do our homework.

Before we meet we run a public-record check on your domain: email security, exposed services, your Microsoft 365 or Google tenant. No access to your systems is needed.

  3. The session.

Sixty minutes with a senior engineer, on Microsoft Teams from anywhere in Queensland, or at your office in South East Queensland. We work through the twelve areas above with whoever knows your setup best.

  4. You get the plan.

The written Blueprint report: findings ranked by risk, a plan for now, 30 to 90 days and 3 to 12 months, and a list of things still to find out. Yours to keep, whatever you decide.

What we need from you

Sixty minutes, and the person who knows the setup best. If you have an existing provider you do not need to involve them. If you have invoices, a licence list or a network diagram, bring them. If you have none of that, that is fine too. Finding out is the point.

Is this for you?

The Blueprint Session is built for Queensland businesses with 10 or more staff, in Brisbane or the regions. It earns its hour if:

You have IT support but no clear picture of what you are getting.

Or what you would get from someone else for the same money.

You are growing, moving, merging or opening another site.

The setup that worked at ten staff is creaking at forty.

Cyber insurance, a tender or a client has asked questions you cannot answer with confidence.

MFA coverage, backup testing, Essential Eight. We put the answers in writing.

Something recently went wrong and you want to know how close it came.

A phishing email that nearly worked, a server that nearly did not come back.

Fewer than ten staff? Book anyway. If a simpler fix is enough, we will say so.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Yes. There is no fee and no obligation, and you keep the written report whether or not you work with us. The best client relationships start with trust, and the only way to earn it is to show you what we can do before you spend a cent.

No. It is a working session that follows a fixed structure, and the report is built from your answers and our checks, not from a pitch deck. If it makes sense to work together afterwards we will put a proposal together. If it does not, we will say so.

Often those are the businesses that get the most out of it. You get a second set of eyes on what is there, whether the service matches what you pay for, and where the blind spots are. Nothing in the session needs your provider’s involvement, and the report lists what is working as well as what is not.

No. The public-record check uses only what is already visible on the internet about your domain. Everything else comes from the conversation. If you want us to look deeper, that is a separate step we agree on first.

A senior Bastion engineer based in Brisbane. Not a salesperson, and not an offshore triage desk.

It is used to build your report and nothing else. We do not sell or share it, and we will not add you to a marketing list. See our privacy policy.

Across South East Queensland, yes. Further afield, the session runs on Microsoft Teams, and that is how we look after our regional Queensland clients every day: remote first, onsite when it is needed.

We price support from the real numbers gathered in the session, not a template, and onboarding follows a ten-day plan: discovery, findings and priorities, stabilise, then handover. We manage the transition from any existing provider so your team barely notices the switch.

Sixty minutes. No cost. A plan you keep.
